Volunteer Opportunities

DZG volunteers are a talented team - between them they offer a wide range of skills including carpentry, sewing and costume design, arts and crafts, facepainting, storytelling and drama, and, of course, they all share our passion for animals.

Our volunteers share duties ranging from caring for the Presentation department’s tame animal collection, to talking to visitors at the 11th century Dudley Castle. Volunteers work in a variety of roles, and really make a difference.

They assist our Presenters, help care for some of the small, tame animals, assist with maintenance of the enclosures and gardens, and help with fund-raising and special events.

Volunteers must be 18 or over, but there is no upper age limit, you just need to be reasonably fit and healthy and willing to work for one day, or more, a week.

WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY TAKING ON VOLUNTEERS.  WE WILL, HOWEVER, REVUE THIS ONCE AGAIN IN SPRING 2012.  UPDATED INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED HERE.

If YOU have a skill which may be of use to DZG — contact Julia or Andrea on 01384 215313.
