Horrible History sessions take place in the Undercroft of the 11th century Dudley Castle and give youngsters a taste of the grislier side of Tudor life.
The hands-on workshops introduce animals from DZG’s small tame collection, including creepy crawlies and rodents which were part of 16th century life, and explore food and drink and arms and armour from that period.

Students learn about the smells, illnesses and potions of the era too, and have an opportunity to try on Tudor-style clothes and get a real feel for life 500 years ago.
